How Much Does a Small Business Website Cost in Queens and Long Island?

Most small business websites cost a few thousand dollars to build properly, and then somewhere between about $100 and $1,000 a month to maintain and grow, depending on how much help you want with SEO and content. The bigger cost is usually the one you don't see: a slow, outdated site that quietly sends customers to competitors.

What drives the cost of a website?

  • Number of pages. A five-page site costs far less than a 40-page site with a page for every service and town.
  • Features. Online booking, ordering, payments, multiple languages and customer portals all add time.
  • Content. Writing good copy and taking real photos is often the biggest hidden cost.
  • Who builds it. A friend, a freelancer, a template builder and an agency all come with very different levels of support afterward.

Should I rebuild my website or fix the one I have?

Often you don't need to start over. Many sites can be made much faster, easier to find and better at turning visitors into calls with a one-time optimization project. Ours run from $750 to $5,000+, with a fixed quote after a free report. A full rebuild makes sense when the site can't be updated, isn't mobile-friendly, or no longer reflects the business. See our website development page for how we approach new builds.

What does website maintenance cost each month?

Our care plans are a good reference point:

  • Basic Care ($99 to $249 a month): updates, security monitoring, backups and uptime checks.
  • Growth Plan ($499 to $999 a month): adds local SEO, Google Business Profile updates, AI search content and monthly reporting.
  • Performance Plan ($1,499 to $2,999 a month): adds AI assistant visibility tracking, review building, conversion work and a monthly strategy call.

Prices depend mainly on the size of the site. Read more about what website maintenance includes and why it matters.

Why do prices vary so much between providers?

Because "a website" can mean very different things. Ask any provider what's included after launch: who updates the site, who fixes it when it breaks, who handles security, and whether anyone is working to bring in more customers. A cheap build with no support often ends up costing more.

Is local experience worth paying for?

For local businesses, usually yes. Search in Queens works differently from search in Nassau County: customers search by neighborhood in one and by village in the other, and many search in more than one language. A provider who understands that builds pages that actually bring in nearby customers.

Questions

How much does a small business website cost in New York?

A properly built small business site typically costs a few thousand dollars, plus roughly $100 to $1,000 a month for maintenance and growth work, depending on size, features and how much SEO help you want.

Is website maintenance really necessary?

Yes. Unmaintained sites fall behind on security updates, slow down and break over time. Maintenance costs far less than repairing a hacked or broken site.

Can I get a fixed quote?

Yes. We give a fixed quote for projects after a free website report, so you know the cost before any work starts.
